PLAY AND PRINT – MONOPRINTING

A simple but effective form of printmaking which will suit all ages. Paint and stencil directly onto a screen and see the wonderful results. This is a really fun creative printing process and all participants will come away with a series of freeform prints based on the theme of Carnival.

To celebrate carnival week and our lovely towns, we would love you to come and design / screenprint your very own St Leonards / Hastings T-shirt. Using stencils, paper cutouts, lettering and images, be imaginative as you like and express what this town means to you. The Curious Kids Festival is an immersive child centric arts festival which aims to provide young people with an opportunity to take part in a variety of vibrant “curiously creative” workshops. There will be a diverse programme of activities run by experienced local artists, which will captivate and excite children, with the emphasis being on creativity and curiosity.

Each child will be given a Curiosity Passport on entry to prompt them to explore the space, take part in all the activities on offer and create their own collection of festival memorabilia to take home.

The festival will be split into two sessions from which to choose, 10-1 pm and 2-5pm and families can have the opportunity to explore as many of the activities as possible during their session. For more information on artists involved and to buy tickets for this fab event click on link below.

As we are part of the Fat Tuesday unplugged festival this year, we thought it would be great to invite young and old to design and print their own band t-shirt.
